美国华盛顿州生态部近采纳了两项对高关注化学物质清单的修订。儿童产品,如玩具、化妆品、珠宝和婴儿产品的制造商,如果其产品中存在这些化学物质，则必须报告生态部。此次修订增加了一种被称为三(1、3-二氯-2-丙基)磷酸盐的氯化三阻燃剂，并删除了一种化学溶剂正丁醇。
儿童安全产品法案要求在华盛顿的制造商每年向生态部报告每个故意添加到产品组件中的高关注化学物质，只要其浓度超过在规定度、准确度、代表性、完整性和可比性的常规实验室操作条件下能够可靠测量的低值(称为“实际定量限”或PQL)。这项报告制度旨在帮助填补消费者和主管机构的数据缺口，不一定说明包含高关注化学物质的产品对人体健康就是有害的。
